The Japanese Macaque or snow monkey is actually found throughout Japan, but in Yamanaouici, Japan they have found a unique way of keeping warm in the winter months. They bathe in an onsen, or hot springs that is warmed by the volcanic activity of the Japanese island. There is a monkey park outside of Yamaouchi, Japan that draws visitors to see and take pictures of these playful creatures.
We are a husband and wife photography team, sharing a passion for photography and an appreciation for nature, wildlife and beautiful vistas. We enjoy taking pictures of the things we encounter on our travels near and far. We especially enjoy seeing and capturing images of all types of wildlife. While searching and waiting for wildlife photo opportunities, our subject is the surrounding vistas and scenes of where ever we happen to have our gear set up.
